The universe WILL provide

After a nights sleep, I will be leaving the Brimhall Manor (Britney’s cute name for her home). I expect to do 20 miles to Tempe..

However, I will not be going with Hyojin.

So, say you had given up most of your possessions, a home, all for a bike tour of the world, starting with the Americas… you made plans with a partner for half a year, fancied about it for 12 months… spent days researching and weeks of you time working to save every dollar you earned… and say you get to Arizona after spending months of saying goodbye to friends and family who wish you well, or, begged you not to be kidnapped or killed, and some told you you will never make it… and after a week of head aching struggles to get to know your riding partner, due to personality and soul purpose differences.. the day before departure your partner sits you down and asks you to..

“guess what”

” Well, I  decided, that I rather go by myself… maybe I’ll go to Europe instead…”

Was I mad? You bet. Have you seen me angry?

So now what?

Breathe, be in the moment, one day at a time. I spent a lot of time today, going through the processes of emotions. I accept the fate, and I wish Hyojin the best of luck out there.

This situation with Hyojin leaving, does not stop me from going. There is Amelia riding the tour Bike For Peace, who has been riding by herself from Alaska, destination, Argentina. A similar story about her partners backing out last minute, had happen to her. I spoke with her on the phone, and we are going to figure out when and how we shall rendezvous. I got a few weeks here in Arizona, which is plenty of time to practice on my bike mechanic skills, check out the bike community in Tuscon, and continue working with what I got- the support, the resources, and the willpower, so that I can continue the tour.

My mantra is- the problem is the solution. I accept what is, and I will continue, because there is opportunity, perhaps a better solution.

Life has been a journey thus far.. there is nothing I cannot handle.
